Professional Background

Eyal Shpits

Engineering leadership across enterprise platforms, mobile products and GenAI delivery.

Professional Summary

I bring a founder’s perspective to engineering leadership: understand the customer problem, make technology choices that serve the product, and build teams that can deliver. My experience spans CTO and co-founder work at GreenShpits, SVP Engineering at MCE Systems, and engineering leadership at Similarweb, ServiceNow and SAP.

At MCE, I led more than 50 team members across R&D, Product and QA. At ServiceNow, I scaled the mobile group from 20 to 40+ engineers. Alongside enterprise delivery, GreenShpits brings experience in app development, marketing, consulting and GenAI experimentation. My management approach combines coaching, cross-functional ownership and practical delivery measures such as cycle time and throughput.

AI delivery decisions

A framework for discussing an AI roadmap. The technologies below are options for different use cases, not a list of tools deployed in every project.

Strategy & model selection

Which customer problem justifies generative AI? Compare build versus buy, model quality, privacy, latency and inference cost before choosing a provider.

Large language models (LLMs) · AI ROI · Model routing · Caching

Provider and platform options: OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI and Vertex AI.

Knowledge & context

Does the product need retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), better prompt engineering or context engineering? Define the knowledge sources and grounding requirements before selecting a retrieval stack.

Embeddings · Vector databases · Semantic search · Hybrid retrieval · Reranking

Retrieval options: pgvector, Pinecone and LlamaIndex. Fine-tuning is a separate decision, based on the task and available training data.

Agents & workflow design

Where is a predictable workflow enough, and where does an AI agent need to choose tools? Define permissions, structured outputs and human-in-the-loop checkpoints before adding autonomy.

Agentic AI · Function calling / tool use · Model Context Protocol (MCP) · Workflow orchestration

Orchestration options include LangGraph. Multi-agent systems and multimodal AI should follow a demonstrated product need.

Quality, safety & operations

What proves the system is ready for customers? Set evaluation criteria, trace failures and measure cost and latency alongside usefulness. Plan for data privacy and access control from the start.

LLMOps · Evals · Regression testing · Guardrails · Prompt-injection defenses · Hallucination mitigation

Observability options include Langfuse. Responsible AI requires ongoing monitoring and clear human accountability.

AI-assisted software development

This portfolio’s development workflow has used Cursor and now Codex. Coding agents support implementation; code review and validation remain part of delivery.
